The Culture of China’s Space Program: A Peking Opera in Space

China has taken a great leap into space with the successful launches of Shenzhou V and VI, recent developments and applications in space technologies, and expansion of the domestic and international space industry. As China’s space program evolves into a civilian endeavor, a unique Chinese space culture is emerging.
