ABSTRACT
This paper is a companion piece to “Mapping and imagined futures: beyond colonising cartography”. It extends the earlier argument about rethinking the way we map our world and the future. Wide dialogue is invited. From a peace education and futures education perspective, many critical issues are raised. These issues include whether our children are given enough opportunities to build better understanding of other people and places, as well as learning relevant image literacy skills in the non-violent transformation of conflicts and alternative cultural mapping.(continue…)
