JFS has started a premium service to authors.
Most authors find the automated system easy to use. This entails submitting your article/essay, then checking for referee comments in the automated system. The managing editor ensures that comments are followed up on and either your piece joins the production process, needs revisions or is rejected. Details of the process are here.
However, some authors need more curated help. To this end JFS offers a curated editorial system. The managing editor will take a look at your piece before publication and offer initial comments, i.e. are the references in the correct format, are tables correctly done, is the content futures-appropriate, have the methods been appropriately used, and so on. Given the extra time this requires, JFS will charge $3000 NT (US $100) for this service. Payable via paypal.
Along with this premium service, JFS will offer a service that includes personalized editorial help plus copy editing. Copy editing will only begin if the piece has already been accepted for publication. The cost for this is $6000 NT (US $200) (curation plus copy editing).
